We’ve seen iCIMS grow from a dozen or so people to over 700. Though we can’t take all of the credit, we are proud to have called iCIMS a client for 10 years developing a wide range of creative work from branding to digital marketing. Over the past decade, we have helped iCIMS evolve their brand as well as add creativity to their event marketing and recruitment advertising.
ENTERPRISE ERA
Spitball crafted iCIMS' latest marketing efforts through an integrated enterprise-targeted campaign. A powerful message was the cornerstone in positioning iCIMS as a critical aspect of business success which was leveraged through print, digital, social, video and thought leadership vehicles.
Spitball developed a highly targeted digital and social advertising media plan to deliver the overarching brand campaign and specific competitive messages within business and trade outlets.
Spitball also architected and designed a new website to complete the brand storytelling, providing a user-friendly, engaging experience. Custom demo videos explained software features and benefits to provide qualified leads to the internal sales team.
BIRD SEASON
Prior to the campaign above, iCIMS was looking to go beyond the traditional HR visuals of using staged people in their brand advertising and challenged Spitball to develop a new platform that represented their unique company and culture. This is when the iCIMS bird mascot, lovingly named Ike, was hatched and took flight.
The initial undertaking for the new brand platform was the website, where the story began with a bird simply representing social recruiting. This one custom illustration serendipitously became the heart of the brand identity as it took off and graced all aspects of the company's internal and external communication.
iCIMS loved their brand mascot so much that they created a physical life-sized mascot for event marketing. Spitball worked with iCIMS on customizing Ike for various shows and created fun hotel room drops to grab the audience's attention, including a plush "Elvis Ike" for shows in Las Vegas.
Spitball worked with iCIMS on their employment brand and recruitment advertising. Over the years it has featured their brand mascot to varying degrees and within this campaign, he plays an inconspicuous role to allow the creative visual to be the hero.
THE EARLY YEARS
When iCIMS first came to Spitball, they had a simple ask... develop a demo for our software. What we created was far from simple, but far more effective. Our interactive "personalities demo" featured 12 personas in highly engaging videos to communicate various pain points as a lead into the iCIMS software features.
The success of the interactive demo videos led to infusing the same brand personality into the iCIMS' marketing. This allowed targeted digital and email marketing campaigns for the various HR, IT and executive buyer audiences.
